Mexico is gearing up for its third World Cup with an event that pays tribute to the legends of the sport. The match, organized by NSN Never Say Never and Stoneweg Places & Experiences, will take place on April 19, 2026, at the iconic Estadio Banorte, recently renovated and about to become the only stadium in the world to host three World Cup inaugurations.
“We have made a great effort to offer the public a spectacle worthy of what this match represents. Each team will feature 18 players, all national icons and international stars whose careers have influenced generations. This match is designed for multiple generations—parents, children, and entire families—to come together, reminisce, and relive on the field the dedication, effort, and passion these great players demonstrated for years, which have now cemented them as true football legends,” said Emilio Rabasa, CEO of Never Say Never.
The game, taking place just months before the biggest sporting event in history, will once again bring together legends of the Mexican National Team, including Rafa Márquez and Andrés Guardado, alongside Brazilian stars such as Ronaldinho and Marcelo. In the coming days, additional high-profile players participating in the match will be announced.
Tickets for the Mexico vs. Brazil Legends match will be available starting February 10 for Banorte users, with general sales opening on February 13.
